Title:
Form: Multichannel animated installation
Technique: Drawing, Animation
Material: Conté crayon

My current research is based on my lived experiences as an Iranian woman who has migrated across Iran, Malaysia, and New Zealand, encountering different forms of freedom and restriction along the way.  I am examining how my experience and understanding of freedom shift and evolve throughout my journey across different countries. My interdisciplinary research combines phenomenology and feminist philosophy to explore overlooked, embodied aspects of freedom through experimental animation practices. It investigates how animation spaces can express deeply personal experiences in ways that invite public reflection, emotional resonance, and critical speculation, potentially contributing to broader awareness and dialogue.
